Started in 1989, with more than 500 leaders that have graduated from the program.
The leadership curriculum was developed by Dr.
Beverly Y. Langford, Chairman of LMA Communication, a
corporate communications consulting firm that works with
corporations, organizations, and management on issues, such as
corporate communication strategies and structures, message
development, interpersonal communication, and leadership.
Dr. Langford serves as the instructor and facilitator on many of
the class days. In an effort to build community leaders, Leadership North
Fulton uses a variety of techniques including workshops by trained
facilitators, panel-discussions, study team and on-site visits.
Class members learn to enhance their leadership skills in the
areas of organizational and group dynamics, conflict mediation,
communication, diversity, change management, and others. Started
in 1989, more than 500 leaders have graduated from the program.
Two of the most important factors in maintaining
the high quality of life in the North Fulton community are
identifying and developing involved individuals who demonstrate
leadership qualities. In conjunction with the Greater North Fulton
Chamber of Commerce, Leadership North Fulton has taken on that
mission. Participants enhance their leadership skills and
knowledge of the various local governments and community services
during the nine-month program.
Participants also have the opportunity to plan
and implement a project that will benefit the community. This is
an outstanding program to help you or someone in your organization
expand his or her capacity for a stronger leadership role in
business and the community. |
